Abstract: American PEW research center released a research report named " intelligent grid", which analysed current problems of American grid operation.It analysed the obstacles that America may face in the period of current grid development, and key technologies that need to be developed urgently. It also proposed 7 politic suggestions such as making technology standards. Basing on the analysis of research content, this article proposes following suggestions on developing China's intelligent grid. First,intelligent grid should be raised to national strategy for top design. Second, take full advantage of and integrate China's existing basis, and attach equal importance to net "strong" and intelligence. Third, government should take its responsibility as a supervisor, and take care of the construction rhythm of intelligent grid investment.
