Abstract: R&D globalization is the composition and inexorable trend of economic globalization. Multinational cooperation leading the process of R&D globalization becomes the lastest and most important characteristic. Currently, R&D input of multinational cooperation accounts for more than 50% of global R&D input, and mainly focuses in America, Japan and European countries. The patent output of multinational countries dominates around the world. Multinational cooperation is constantly promoting the process of R&D globalization and the R&D activities are increasingly focusing at frontier technology industries.
