Abstract: This paper deeply analyses the result of National Innovation Index 2011, and reveals the developmental track and essential characters of China's national innovation ability. It points out that China's innovation ability strengthened rapidly mainly because of the improvement of innovation performance and environment. It also gives some suggestions on how to enhance China's innovation ability comprehensively.
