The 4^thannual international forum of CISTRAT was held on November 2, 2016 in Beijing. The forum this year focused on‘Science, Technology and Innovation in Developing Countries: Opportunities and Challenges‘.

Five speakers from CISTRAT, UNESCO, CASTED, Renmin University and Karlsruhe Institute of Technology shared their views on China ’ s STI trends and progress, the role of a culture of innovation for sustainable development, infrastructure investment against the background of ‘ Belt and Road ’ initiative, STI cooperation in the ‘ Belt and Road ’ area, and global S&T approach.

The forum was open to all trainers and trainees in this year’s STI training workshop, CISTRAT staff and members of CASTED.
