With MOST and UNESCO as sponsors, CISTRAT organized its 5th international training workshop named ‘International Workshop on STI Policy Research and Method’ from October 31 to November 19, 2016.

The workshop, enrolling 13 international trainees and 7 Chinese trainees, arranged 48 hours of classroom lectures taught by 20 Chinese experts and 4 foreign experts. It also included 5 days of field study, when the trainees were taken to TusPark, Suzhou high-and new-technology zone, etc., for an impression of STI practice in China. The trainees were also given a chance to attend G20 Enterprise Innovation Forum.

When the workshop came to an end, all international trainees received their certificates from Mr. Hans Dencker Thulstrup, Programme Specialist of UNESCO Office in Beijing, Mr. Zhao Xin Li, Deputy Director of CSTEC and Mr. Wang Fenyu, Vice President of CASTED.
