Abstract:The manufacturing industry is the backbone industry in China . High-tech enterprises in the manufacturing industry now enjoy greater policy supports with the promulgation and implementation of new rules for recognizing these enterprises. Based on recognition of the enterprises in 2008, the article provides a detailed discussion on the characteristics of newly recognized high-tech enterprises in manufacturing industry and analysis of issues in implementing policies for these enterprises. Related policy recommendations are also proposed in the article.
