On September 2, 2016, Ms. Xiaolan Fu, Professor at Oxford Department of International Development, and director of the Technology and Management Centre for Development (TMCD), paid a visit to CASTED. CASTED President Hu Zhijian and Vice President Wang Fenyu received her and co-chaired a seminar.

During the meeting, the two sides, on the basis of the CASTED visit to the University of Oxford in June, briefed on their respective research areas and key projects and identified research areas of common interest regarding China’s science, technology and innovation. The two sides agreed on a visit by Oxford Vice-Chancellor to CASTED during his China visit in the next year before the two sides officially carry out their subsequent cooperation.
