On July 22, 2016, a Vietnamese delegation led by Ha Thi Lienhong, Deputy Secretary-General of the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam, and Nguyen Mongjun, Vice President of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, paid a visit to CASTED.

CASTED Vice President Wang Fenyu received the delegation and chaired a seminar, where he introduced CASTED’s development, and Dr. Ding Minglei at CASTED Institute of Comprehensive Development, briefed on the formulation process and methods of China’s Science, Technology and Innovation Plan for the 13th Five-year Plan Period. The two sides then had in-depth discussions.

Other members of the visiting delegation included Nguyen Hauhayi, Deputy Director of Technology Application and Development Bureau of Vietnam, Ninh Thi Heyhau, Director of Asian and African Affairs Section, Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam, Pham Tanshayn, Attaché of the Vietnamese Embassy in China, Liang Xuejun, First Secretary of the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam, and Lai Wenni, of the Asian and African Affairs Section of Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China. Relevant personnel of the Department of Research Management at CASTED also attended the seminar.
