On the morning of June 6, 2017, Jan Wilhelm Grythe, Counsellor for Development of the Norwegian Embassy in China, visited CASTED. Vice President Wu Yishan hosted the Norwegian guest and chaired the roundtable meeting.

At the meeting, Wu Yishan gave the Norwegian guest a briefing on CASTED. Zhao Yandong, Director of the Institute of Science, Technology and Society, CASTED, introduced the research cooperation between CASTED and the Norwegian side over the past 20 years, and proposed future cooperation and research plans. Counsellor Jan Wilhelm Grythe said there will be greater room for cooperation between the Norwegian Embassy in China and CASTED on the policy research in science, technology, innovation and other fields.

The staff of the CASTED Institute of Science, Technology and Society and the Scientific Research Office also attended the roundtable.
