CASTED President Hu Zhijian Visited DEUC for Exchange on S&T System Reform and Innovation Policy Progress 38

On February 8, 2017, at the invitation of the Delegation of the European Union to China (DEUC), CASTED President Hu Zhijian attended a seminar at DEUC, where he gave a speech on the progress of China’s S&T system reform and innovation policy, briefing on China’s overall deployments in the implementation of the innovation-driven development strategy, progress in key national S&T initiatives including reform of the national S&T programs, transformation of research achievements, and STI policy, and key directions of China’s innovation-driven development. At the seminar chaired by Laurent Bochereau, Counselor for Science and Technology, DEUC, and attended by science and technology councilors of embassies of EU member states in China, CASTED Institute of Science and Technology Systems and Management director Li Zhe, associate research fellow Li Yan and post-doctor Cai Xiaotian as well as CASTED President Hu Zhijian, the participants had in-depth discussions on topics including global innovation governance and international science and technology collaboration of enterprises. CASTED is the leader of the Chinese expert group of China-EU Innovation Cooperation Dialogue and is responsible for organization and coordination regarding STI policy exchange and cooperation.
