On April 17, the China-Norway Science Day co-sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Norwegian Ministry of Education and Research was held in Beijing. CASTED and FAFO co-hosted the forum on policy research cooperation on the Science Day. Hu Zhijian, President of CASTED and Tone Fløtten, Executive President of FAFO delivered welcoming speeches. Over 100 Chinese and Norwegian experts and scholars in the field of policy research attended the forum.

The forum featured in-depth discussions on the impact of new technologies represented by artificial intelligence and new economy represented by the sharing economy on social economy and the labor market and the future development trends. The forum was presided over by Zhao Yandong, research fellow of CASTED. Other research fellows from CASTED and FAFO, namely He Guangxi , Li Xiuquan, Jon Pedersen and Kristin Jesnes, delivered keynote speeches.
