On 1 November, 2016, the fourth governing board meeting, held in Yulong International Hotel, was attended by six board members (from left to right on the photo): Yoslan Nur (on behalf of Flavia Schlegel), Mu Rongping, Song Jong-Guk, Yin Hejun, Ana Maria Cetto and Hu Zhijian. Mr. Wang Fenyu, Vice President of CASTED, also attended the meeting. Mr. Yin Hejun, Vice Minister of MOST and new Chairperson of the governing board, hosted the meeting.

The members spoke highly of what CISTRAT had done in the past year and expressed their will for the Centre to enhance communication with research institutes in other parts of the world. Vice Minister Yin required CISTRAT to learn from other Category II Centres and to prepare for the UNESCO evaluation in the coming year which aims to check whether the Centre’s works are in line with its Agreement and the prioritized goals of UNESCO。.
