On September 4, 2018, the Sino-German Innovation Policy Platform conducted an academic exchange program at CASTED. Dr. Gerold Heinrichs, Director of Asia-Pacific Cooperation Branch of the Management Agency of the German Aerospace Center Project and German Coordinator of the Sino-German Innovation Policy Platform, gave a lecture titled “How to make Sino-China STI cooperation more evidence driven and less policy driven” to CASTED researchers. In the lecture, Dr. Heinrichs reviewed the history of Germany’s STI cooperation with China and his personal experience of participating in this cooperation. Following the lecture, Dr. Gerold Heinrichs, Ms. Jana Buelhoff, German Liaison Officer of the Sino-German Innovation Policy Platform, and the researchers of CASTED briefed each other on the latest progress of the platform, and discussed the preparatory work for the Seminar of Sino-German Innovation Policy Platform in 2019.
